Parking, by permit, is available at 422 E. 9th Street at the corner of 9th and Brevard. Handicapped parking is available at 625 N. Brevard and requires a University/Center City parking permit in conjunction with the appropriate handicapped placard.

Please encourage visitors to prepare and plan for their visit to The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City, including consideration of carpooling and ride services.
Visitor parking for events is currently not available. There are a number of pay-to-park options within walking distance of The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City. Seventh Street Parking Deck is a short walk through First Ward Park. Visitors can pay to park by the hour. Additional pay-to-park options can be found on the Preferred Parking website. The closest of these is 422 E 9th Street on the corner of 9th and Brevard Street.. Other nearby lots are at 8th & College, 9th & College, and 9th & Tryon. There are metered spaces on Brevard and 8th Street to pay during the day. These meters are free after 6pm weekdays and all day on weekends.
To park at 422 E. 9th Street gravel lot, you will need to download the park mobile app, pick zone #96422, and put the space number. There is no pay station in this lot.
Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of light rail options when visiting The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City. Our building is a half a block from the 9th Street Station. Free parking is available at nine of the eleven light rail Park and Ride locations. Sugar Creek Station and Scaleybark Park and Ride locations are the closest to 9th Street Station. Standard CATS rates apply.

Students registered for classes at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City must have a campus parking permit and must be purchased through the PaTS Office.
There are several options for students, including a full access pass that allows students to park with some flexibility outside of their class days and times, as long as they are conducting class related business on the our property. Permits other than full access permits, are only valid during specific class times and coordinate with student schedules, as listed in Banner.

The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City does not have separate parking dedicated to the building. The University has negotiated an arrangement with Preferred Parking, Inc., owner of the closest surrounding lots, for Faculty/Staff and Student parking. Parking location is currently at 319 E. 9th Street.
Due to the limited number of parking spaces available, parking is valid only when conducting University business on The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City property. Faculty and staff may not park at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City and walk to meetings at other locations, even if the meeting is related to University business. There are no exceptions to this rule. Violators will receive a $150 ticket, issued by Preferred Parking.Faculty & Staff who have purchased a permit other than a full access pass, are not eligible to park at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City and will need to pay to park in the surrounding area. There are a few metered spaces on the street that are valid for up to two hours but there is pay to park options near by.t.
